Blue Fern Garden Wall Hanging and Vintage Ballerina

This is a wall hanging.  I created by joining Blue Fern with Inkido.  What a wonderful combination.

I wanted to work with the Inkido stamps and create tags, but then I decided i did not want to leave them as tags.  That's when I opted to turn them into something more decorative.  I found the  Blue Fern chippies to be the perfect accent.

I used the Blue Fern Lattice Gate and coated it with Stampendous.  I thought this would be the perfect piece to tie my two tags together and create a garden feel.

Lattice Gate #074950

You can see I also added some green eyelash trim for some vines in my garden.

 Spring Iris Small - 074912
Every garden needs flowers so I grabbed the Blue Fern small Spring Iris set. I painted them with acrylic paints.

Vintage Ballerina
I wanted soft, feminine, and elegant for my ballerina image.  I grabbed the Blue Fern Frame.  In my opinion, this is such an elegant and delicate piece of chipboard.

I kept it simple by painting it with a sandy cream acrylic, dabbed with white and inked the edges dark brown.

Deep In Thought - Maja Design

It's Maja Design Day!
This piece is called Deep in Thought.

This piece uses the summery Antligen Collection by Maja Design.  Summer is such a short and cherished time for many of us who live in places that get snow - like NY where I live.  brrrr.  For now,  I shall celebrate some melting of the snow by pulling out Antligen.

This is a photo I snapped of my niece a few years ago.  It's summery and dreamy feeling like the collection.  My niece is a beautiful young lady so I wanted to surround her in feminine softness.

I used a few different patterned papers from the collection.  Featured here are the following: Antligen - Naturen Doftar (as my delicate background piece) , Pingst (as the accent strips of paper), and Vardagjamning (as the circle).

I added the Prima  resin heart here for my sister.  (Dell 'Arte Resin 891466).You can also see a little of the Prima masking - the dots...love this mask.  It's called Static 6x6 564261 - so very versatile.

The cluster below has a few different Prima flowers on it, all in the same color family;  Prima Lyric Flowers 564452, Prima Tatiana Coral Flowers 566357, Prima Enchanted Ivory  Flowers 561369.

By this point, are you wondering why I provide the product code?  Well!  Great question.  If you want to order products from an on-line store, often times you just need to type in the product code and BAM - up pops the exact product you need.  No guessing.  Leaves you MORE time for more shopping.  hahahaha

Thus I shall continue to provide product codes whenever I can so that you can shop  efficiently.
I am "Jen-abler". Here to enable your shopping habit.
Here you can see that I sort of slapped molding paste on my page to frost the Prima Divine Flowers 565268.. The image below is also a great close up of my masking with some really really cool stuff - Shimmerz Texturz Paints in Tidy Widy.  You can get a better feel for how delicate this page is in real life.
I tucked a few small pieces of an old book here and there.  The book is from 1895 - very old.  The pages are yellowed already with no distressing.  Time did that for me.
This is gift for my sister.  She can gaze upon it when she misses her baby girl who is setting off for University in August.
Thanks for sharing a piece of the day with me.   Maja Design is also getting ready too send out the newest LIMITED Collection, Sofiero. Check it out.

Maja Design - Introduces it's Limited Collection - Sofiero

Maja Design introduces it's first Limited Edition Collection - Sofiero.

Sofiero Palace was, until the 1970s, a summer residence for Swedish royalty. The magnificent heritage of thousands of rhododendrons, beds, borders and kitchen gardens is carefully tended by a team of dedicated experts. In 2010, Sofiero was voted Europe’s Best Park.

Smell the roses while you walk through The Rose Paths of Sofiero. You can see the fairy tale castle glimpse in the background while you stroll around the castle’s world famous gardens. Walk through Princess Margareta’s Flowerstreet and be amazed by her sense of colors and gardening. Head on to The Dahlia District before crossing the garden down to the gates by the sea. Listen to the waves and enjoy the sun. A wedding couple passes by giggling. The summer is here to stay.
This new collection is a summer celebration to the historical gardens of Sofiero that is cared for and developed in honor of its legacy.
This exclusive collection consists of eight two sided 12×12 sheets and will only be in stock for a limited period of time. They will not reprint so make sure to get your set before they are gone.
For a chance to win the collection, leave a comment on the blog post at  The Maja Desing blog here posting telling us what you think of it. We also encourage you to follow our blog and spread the word on Facebook and your own personal blogs. We will present three happy winners June 25th.
Thanks and enjoy!

Flying Unicorns and Prima May 2013 PPP

Daisy Sunshine Tag
This was created using elements from the Flying Unicorn kit for June, Rays of Magic for the Prima May Prima PPP.  Below are the colors that needed to be used.  I created a tag.  It's a bigger tag, but you can use as a card and write a nice sentiment on the back.  It's big - you can write a lot of nice things.

I used the little daisy image below as my inspiration for this tag.

Thanks for looking.   Flying Unicorns is having a tag challenge.  Come join us.  You do not need to use their supplies or their kits.  Just scrap with what you have.

Flying Unicorns - New 13 Arts - PaperHaus Sketch June

Flying Unicorns has been very fortunate to have the newest 13Arts collection - Faces of Spring.  It's edgy, eclectic, amazing and fun.   This is what I created using some of the collection.

I took this photo of my guitar playing husband.  He started playing when he was  about 10 and has no greater joy for a hobby.  I used the old guitar strings on this and an old guitar pick.  His favorite brand. He never ever leaves the house without a pocket full of picks.

Now on to the guitar strings.  Whenever he changes strings,  he has this habit of winding the strings into circles so that they do not poke the eyes out on the garbage collector.  awe, how thoughtful.
BUT, no fear on that front any longer since I take all the used strings.   I love them.  They are soooooo cool and sooooo him.

When I saw this 13Arts collection, I knew I had to dig up this photo of him.

I created this using the sketch from PaperHaus Magazine sketch for June.

The Flying Unicorns has these amazing metal Adornments. I love them.  Infact, they are my new "chippie".  I can use them anywhere - stick them here and there, tuck them into things. Paint then, emboss them, and on this one, I gobbed it with embossing paste and topped with beads.

You can see my husbands guitar pick here in the midst of the molding paste and the cardboard.

I also used a really cool stamp by 3rd Eye stamps by Drycha.  I love her work.

Please come join us for some fun at the Flying Unicorns
